HOPE - Ribbon of Courage

I made this BEAUTIFUL card for a friend whose baby passed recently... It is with retired DSP's but I was able to used my lovely friends (Jennifer's) NEW Ribbon of Courage Stamp set... And I don't own the alphabet thinlets so I just printed out the letters onto card stock and cut them out...
Inspiration and design for this card was TOTALLY CASED from Patty Bennett's BEAUTIFUL card she shared a few weeks ago on our Demo Party FB Page!
Thank you Patty... So very much...
It means so much to my friend as HOPE stands for How One Perceives Everything... According to her... This saying helped her nurse a CRITICALLY ill child for two years... A Beautiful little spirit that the Dr's wrote off in the first few days of his life here on Earth... She was a TRUE inspiration and AMAZING woman!!!

I Love the Demo FB Page and all the sharing everyone does!! Thank you ALL for the inspiration!!!!!

This was little Bronsons 2nd Birthday cake... His memorial was held on his birthday...

ANGEL BABIES - TREASURED Memories

I had a beautiful friend of mine bring her TREASURED memories of her two ANGEL BABIES .. their tiny tiny foot prints and hand prints.. they were on two little bits of pink and blue paper... not really very substantial... but treasured none the less.... She had them up on her fridge over the years and had received some judgmental comments about them... asking why she would want to display them... She mentioned to me one day at church that she took them down because she didn't want to offend anyone.... It hurt my heart to think that someones words would cause her such pain and cause her to feel she needed to "Hide" them. It was then that I knew we needed to make them look as BEAUTIFUL and treasured as they really are... SO I did this with them for her...
With the basic set out of Angel Baby Footprint Cards and Name Cards I was able to make these wonderful memories into a piece of art that no one will ever have anything but WONDERFUL things to say!!!
It is such an honor to be able to share what we can with others to bless their lives...

And Stampin' Up allows us to do it with ease and pizzazz!!!

My Digital Studio - Personalised Wall Art

Love is - 1st Corinthians 13

This piece of wall art I made for my lovely friend.. Her Hubbie was researching in the scriptures about LOVE and he recorded his discoveries and thoughts it on a piece of paper... It was set out something similar to this... Only in his own handwriting and in Pencil...
It was a lovely thing for us to find when we were going through some of his paperwork....
A beautiful message left to his family from beyond...
LOVE is what will get us all through this life!!!

Beautiful Creations made with LOVE

<a href="//www.pinterest.com/pin/create/button/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.flickr.com%2Fphotos%2Fkentbrew%2F6851755809%2F&media=http%3A%2F%2Ffarm8.staticflickr.com%2F7027%2F6851755809_df5b2051c9_z.jpg&description=Next%20stop%3A%20Pinterest" data-pin-do="buttonPin" data-pin-config="above"><img src="//assets.pinterest.com/images/pidgets/pinit_fg_en_rect_gray_20.png" /></a> <!-- Please call pinit.js only once per page --> <script type="text/javascript" async src="//assets.pinterest.com/js/pinit.js"></script> Its always lovely to create something beautiful... but when you have an EXTRA special reason it is hard not to put your whole heart and soul into it!!!

This card was one of those projects for me!!! I made it for all the people who went to a fundraiser for our BEAUTIFUL Liz to sign... As she and her family had suffered a HUGE personal tragedy early on this year.... I really wanted it to be STUNNING just like her... To bring a smile to her face and to convey how much she really is loved... So with a little inspiration from the Lovely Monique's card that I received for my Birthday last year I was able to create this....

At the same time some BEAUTIFUL Stampin' Up! demonstrators from VIC... (not Paper Angels Members... but much loved too!!)  heard about the tragedy and wanted to do something to convey their love and support for Liz and her family too... they arranged to have each one of them make a paper flower and they sent them to me in the post then once I received them all I was able to arrange them in this lovely little arrangement for Liz to keep... What a special SPECIAL thing for them to do!!!
<a href="//www.pinterest.com/pin/create/button/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.flickr.com%2Fphotos%2Fkentbrew%2F6851755809%2F&media=http%3A%2F%2Ffarm8.staticflickr.com%2F7027%2F6851755809_df5b2051c9_z.jpg&description=Next%20stop%3A%20Pinterest" data-pin-do="buttonPin" data-pin-config="above"><img src="//assets.pinterest.com/images/pidgets/pinit_fg_en_rect_gray_20.png" /></a> <!-- Please call pinit.js only once per page --> <script type="text/javascript" async src="//assets.pinterest.com/js/pinit.js"></script>

(I found another thing to do with that brown paper.. if you spritz it with some re-inker and alcohol you can colour it... it was great in this arrangement for the green filler...)

I hope and prey that these lovely paper craft items will bring many blessings to Liz and her family... and the love that went into creating them will fill her home!!!!

Simple Sympathy

A funeral can be quite heart wrenching.. I am glad that I have the knowledge and belief of an afterlife... and that I know I will see my family again and I will be with them again... Sometimes I feel  funerals are a lot harder for those of us who are left behind... We can go through a such and immense range of emotions when a loved one passes on... At times it can be a great relief especially for someone who has suffered in this life... Because I feel that it is often a time of sadness I like to make it more more beautiful and more like a celebration with loads of colour in my arrangements... Because Colour and Beauty help me to feel loved, Happy and testify to me that the Lord is in control and he knows all our pains and is always there to comfort us in our time of need.. After all the Lord created all that is beautiful in the world... and when someone is born or dies I believe that is the time we are closest to the Lord!!! Which is as BEAUTIFUL as BEAUTIFUL can get!!!

One of our lovely Paper ANGELS team remembered this week that I am a florist and asked me to arrange some flowers for her.. and in 2 days she had 5 other family members that wanted arrangements as well...  Felicity said that she would prefer to give the business to me.. and she knew for the $$$... I would include many more flowers than the florists!!! I hope these arrangements pleased them all.. And gave them something Beautiful to offer and to remember their loved one by...

Beautiful flowers - Sunshine Rememberance

I wanted to include a lovely Simple Sympathy card with these arrangements so that I could write the individual family members messages on it..... the technique I used on this card was to put different couloured drops of my ink refills onto a baby wipe and use that as a temporary ink pad... it creates the perfect COLOURFUL rainbow effect that I felt would compliment the lovely Rainbow arrangements.... It is quite cool really... You can whip these cards up in a matter of moments.....  and there is no real need for embellishments because the colour is quite spectacular in it's self...

This arrangement I called Sunset... Because of the Beautiful Red, Orange and Yellow colours...

Beautiful flowers - Rememberance Box

These Three are in baskets.. the two outside ones are large baskets with a rainbow of coloured flowers...  The Middle one is a more traditional small basket of Pink and Yellow....
Bright Rememberance Basket of Flowers
Beautiful flowers - Happy Rememberance Basket

Bright Basket of Flowers

Vase of Yellow Flowers
Purple and yellow Box of FlowersThese two are again more traditional arrangements the purple and yellow one is in a box and the all yellow one is in a vase.. I always think it is nice to have something to keep afterwards... and a vase is a great way to have a gift of flowers and then something to keep...

God Bless ... May the Lord Comfort your family Felicity at this time.... xxxooo

PaperANGELS Team Meeting - March 2011

For the last 2 months meetings we have been making this wonderful little flip booklet of techniques. Each month we do 3 more to add to it.. What a FANTASTIC tool to help give inspiration and to take to customers to see what kind of things they might like to learn... I have done a technique class or two over the years but I must admit that having them on this fantastic little calendar stand makes it easier to flick through them and it just looks pretty... I may just start a techniques class of my own soon!!! Stay tuned.....

Technique Flip Stand & Secret Scrap Page

As an added bonus in March Liz showed us this lovely page... She had recently had the privilege of compiling and designing a memorial album for one of her husbands work colleagues who's wife recently passed away... In 2 days she managed to create a fantastic album that is truly a treasure!!! The design was so fabulous she wanted to share it with us... I am so glad she did!!! The sugestion was to have some photos and some space for people to write messages for the family to remember their loved one by... And Liz came up with a fantastic way to keep the beautiful messages but hide them also if they were too personal to always share.

As we were at a meeting we created an 8"x8" replica page... The Panel in the middle folds down and you can place more photos on the inside of the DSP... This is where people can write a personal message too... Perfect to hide very personal messages.. or if people are like me and have MESSY writing.. well that can be hidden too and not wreck the page!!!

This whole situation started some great discussion about creating an "All about me" album... Sometimes if feels rather strange making an album about yourself.... Like you are totally conceited or something... But through our discussions we realised that it is a FANTASTIC thing to do. As you get to put things in there that really mean something to you whilst you are able to enjoy it.. And while other members of the family are able to enjoy it with you. It could create many bonding opportunities.. and help family's grow together....

So why not get a group together today adn create one of these FANTASTIC albums so that your treasured memories can live on... and maybe your wonderful group can add something to your album that will uplift you when times are trying... It is lovely to read touching thoughts and uplifting things about your charactor when you are feeling down... It gives you that extra boost to carry on!!!

Australia Flood Appeal

As I, along with almost everyone across Australia and possibly the world have been watching the devastation of our wonderful country by floods.... I have been lost for words.... The power of Mother Nature is infinite indeed... One moment Australia is in drought, suffering with bush fires.. and the next the heavens are overflowing... It seemed to me that all the prayers for rain during the time of drought were answered in a few short weeks.... The destruction of the flood was nothing short of catastrophic!!! Homes have been flattened ... business destroyed... Precious lives have been shortened... It has been utterly heart breaking and totally gut wrenching....

I have been blessed & fortunate enough to have remained untouched. It was not due to anything other than dumb luck... We managed to purchase a house years ago that was on high ground.... At times I have felt a little guilty as I watch this event unfold... I was sitting in my little home, safe and sound... While just 10 munites down the road houses were totally submerged in water.

Over the past couple of weeks I have taken time to ponder these events that took place before my eyes thanks to modern technology; internet and Television. And as I have watched I have been deeply touched, moved and sometimes overwhelmed by many emotions.... I have cried as I have seen someones loved one swept away in the torrent of water.... I have been shocked by a single sole clinging for dear life to a pole while a wild river of water (that was not there minutes ago) thrashes against his body trying to rip him into its deadly path.... I have read articles and heard news reports of bravery, heroism and sacrifice.... I have shed tears for these acts also. I have watched in awe as I have seen strangers courage, love, understanding, charity and an outpouring of human kindness!!! To see people in lines longer than one kilometer of volunteers armed with essential clean up equipment... Thousands of people eagerly willing to lend a helping hand to rebuild lives.... It has touched me deeply and reinvigorated my belief in human kindness.... To see so many people reaching inward into their very essence finding their innate being and using it to touch, help and bless another.... Weather you are religious or not we all know that there is something that makes us who we are.. I believe it is our Soul... How much better is the world when we are all more in tune with our soul. If we could always see another's need and instinctively help to lift their burden??? It is my wish and my prayer that we may strive for this always!!!

Although I am unable to help with the clean up of the silt and filth that was left in the wake of the flooding, due to my husbands low immune system... I have tried to invent ways to help. I want to be of support and to share what I have.... So I have baked many yummy items and sent them with friends who are able to go to the affected areas to give out to the thousands of wonderful volunteers.. I have offered my services to help restore loved photos.... and I am always on the look out for other things that I may be able to do... I am pleased that Stampin' Up has these same desires. And I wanted to let you know that they announced their support for the courageous flood volunteers with this statement....

"As flood waters continue to inundate Australia in what has been described as the worst flooding in 37 years, we express our deepest sympathies to those who have lost loved ones and homes and to those whose lives have been changed forever. We, like so many of you, feel a compelling need to lend support to all those who have been affected. Stampin' Up! demonstrators have a long history of making a difference in the lives of others--especially when disaster strikes and the need is greatest. Nearly two years ago, we watched another tragedy unfold in Australia. Our hearts were touched as demonstrators, customers and friends joined together in support of the Bushfire Appeal. We've done it before and we can certainly do it again! Please join with us by supporting the Australia Flood Appeal--a cause in which Stampin' Up! will donate $2 AUD of the retail value of sales from any stamp set (with a retail value of $30 or more) sold in Australia and New Zealand from 15 January through 15 February to the State Emergency Services in Queensland.”

Again another way we can all be involved and show our support.... every little bit counts...

I'd like to say Thank you to Stampin' UP!!!!

May we all be blessed to our very core!!!

Art Therapy - Creativity - AMAZING!!

Art Therapy TreeI met a really interesting lady on the weekend. I was attending a Beta Sigma Phi convention where I had a display for Stampin' UP! at.... I struck up a conversation with one of the BSP ladies and she told me a little about herself and her profession... although she is retired now. Jan is an Art Therapist and Psycologist... this really intrigued me..What a cool profession.... She told me of an interesting "gimmick" (as she called it) that she would get people to do to discover some things about them. I so wanted to have a go at this.. it really excited me!!!! So Jan gave me the instructions of what I was to do.... And left me too it while she attended the next guest speakers presentation for the day... I was to get a piece of paper and on one side draw a single tree, then on the other side draw 2 or more trees.

Now whilst drawing the trees I was not thinking of anything other than drawing them... and how I could make them different... or how I could fill the page out better.. What more could I add to the page to make it look more like a complete picture? etc...

When Jan came back she looked at the pictures... Taking the single tree first... She said I payed a lot of attention to detail. That I was nurturing because of the grass around the base of the tree. That the trunk of the tree was solid so I am a solid person which is good... Then she held her fingers up the way my mother would do if she were drawing something to get the proportions right.... and what she said next just BLEW me away!!!! She said "now when you were about 13 or 14 something happened in your life that made a very big impact... It has really affected your life" I started to tear up!!! My mother was diagonosed with a Brain Tumor when I was 14... And yes indeed it has impacted my life in oh so many ways!!! For good and for bad... She also looked a little flower that I had drawn off to the right of the tree. "now this flower... It has 4 ... 5 petals ... 4 are well formed and one is kind of scribbled out.... I have a feeling that this flower relates to your own family or to a family that is very close to you" Again you could have blown me over with a little puff of wind.... There is 4 people in our family and I had always thought that we would have another child... but as my husband had Chemotherapy and as time progresses I am sure this child will not come into our family.... there were many more things she told me about my picture and more yet again when she went to the picture of the 2 or more trees that I drew... I could not believe how spot on she was... it was kind of eerie at first... then a little exciting... then totally amazing... How one could get some much from a simple drawing of a tree... Jan told me that if you were to draw the same picture every other day it would say different things about you every time....

Jan also told me that my "art was an escape from reality".... And it is.. It has been my saving grace especially throughout the last 5 years with my Husbands illness... And that my "art is a kind of obsession"... Do you think a 6x9 Art studio indicates that??? hehehe.... Plus the fact that I love to learn new things and try out all kinds of mediums, projects, costumes, etc etc... and have a large collection of materials to do all of these different projects with???

What a blessing it is to have art and craft in our lives... In its various forms!!! What a blessing it is to have hands, minds and imagination that God created; that can then form, mold and create!!!! How amazing is it to see others talents and creativity? I am always in awe of others creations... And no matter how Amazing my projects are to others I am always so much more impressed with others creativity... How Individual people are. How a little of their own personality comes out in each creation. How they develop skill, talent and passion. We all should be in awe of our own abilities and know that it is ok to stand back every now and then and appreciate our work... for when God created the Earth he stod back and "saw that it was good". We are created in his image.. We are a large part of Gods creation. Each one of us are an individual thread in this tapestry of life. What a blessing it is to take hold and make it a more beautiful world... one creation at a time...

What an amazing experience this was for me... To spend a few moments drawing a picture or two and to have Jan use her talents and skills to extract such personal things out of it. A simple gift to her that she has obviously developed over many years... But what an amazing tool art is...

I encourage everyone to be CREATIVE.... release all the inner emotions and feelings... Release the creative genius that is waiting to explore.... Experience Art in any form you can get your hands on!!! Develop skills and talents.. Grow and learn... It is DIVINE... We are Divine creations in the hands of the Lord....

My Wish for you

I've been having a bit of a hard time of late... and I really needed to get some positive, happy vibes flowing... I've heard that if you are having trouble and not getting what you need from others you need to look within and be your own fulfillment so to speak... Usually I can do this. However I found I needed some extra help.. so I asked a wise friend... and I found this lovely poem (via Google..... my wise friend... heheh) last week written by John O'Donahoe... It had no title.. but when I read it I titled it "My Wish for you" I am going to paste it up in my bedroom so that I can read it every day and night... It will be my positive Affirmations for a little while... While I really need them...
I also photoshoped the background by overlaying loads of wonderful pictures of music etc...
You can do this kind of thing for scrapbooking digitally too...
Hope you like it as much as I do... the words are DIVINE!!! Who wouldn't want to wish that everyone could have these blessings in their lives!!

Beta Sigma Phi - Facinator Workshop

Last weekend I was blessed to be involved with a wonderful group of ladies who belong to the Beta Sigma Phi an International Womens' friendship network... They do some wonderful things in our community and towards the end of 2010 they are holding a FASCINATING cocktail fundraising event.. They all wanted to make their own.... so they asked me if I could run a class for them.... Man I had my works cut out for me!!! 9 ladies with totally different ideas.. and most of them not so sure how to put keep it together.... It was a SOLID 4 hour workshop.... With me not stopping... My only worry for the day was that I did would not ignore anyone for too long.. As I knew I could not be with everyone all at once... but in true Ursula creative schizophrenic mannerisms... I was able to jump from task to task, instructing each lady how to assemble her individual fascinator....Last week I heard back form Margaret (the wonderful event coordinator) that all the ladies really enjoyed themselves.. and each of them love their creations.... Phew!!! (*sigh... and wipe brow) I've been blessed to make some really lovely friends with these ladies.. and am very grateful to know them...

They were helping me raise funds to go to Singapore with the Queensland Festival Chorus as well.... Through this workshop... Thank you to the lovely lady that really wanted to come but was unable to ... yet still donated to my fund!!!! Bless you all!!! Muwah....

Crafting and Talking with someone one day may just SAVE their life!!!

Well I would like to report that yesterdays Autumn/Winter Mini Catalogue launch went quite well... The only hic-cup was that we had everyone arrive on time!!! What's with that??? hehe.. So much for people dribbling in for a steady constant flow.. I guess that was due to EVERYONE being so excyted about the new products available and being able to play with them..
Thanks to all who came.

Oh and by the way... 2 of the Three Door prizes went to the ladies on my table.. hehe.. They were Liz's customers BUT>>>>> they were on my table... (just had to get that in there.. no competitive side here ;)

So I called one of my ladies (name withheld as I have not asked her permission to mention it as of yet) today and she mentioned that on her way home there was a fatal accident on the freeway... Her friend that was with her said.... "you know if Ursula did not come over to talk to us at the end we may have been in the accident.." WOW!!! Did that give me the goosebumps!!! Here I was thinking to myself that I should just check in again and make sure I am polite and say goodbye. Because you get so caught up in the busy-ness of getting people through their cards and making sure that they are all finished and having a good time B4 they leave that you sometimes feel like you may have neglected your customers and friends. Especially if they are first timers to our events. So if you have a moment to breath you try to think what else you can do to help someone have a positive time at their first PaperANGELS event... and as I have been informed.... Talking with them may have saved their lives... Things do happen for a reason!!! I truly believe that!!

Craft can save someones life.. and even being polite can do this... I am grateful for being an instrument on this occasion.. and that the gift of the gab has helped again...

Love and thoughts to those who were caught up in the accident.. May you feel his loving arms surround you at this time!!!

Valentines Day

I received this email a couple of days ago and thought what a LOVELY idea!!! I will not be able to go along but I can definitely add to the stash of cards to be distributed...

"Show you care, from one person to another. Ages 8 and up ward!

During the Valentine’s Day weekend
Saturday 13th of February,

We hope to give out hand-made Valentine’s Day cards to the elderly at Nursing Homes & Hospitals, with the intention of: brightening their day while they are in hospital, sharing our smiles, and hopefully having them realise that there are people in the community who care.
We will sing them a cute song, hand out a card, wish them “Happy Valentine’s Day”, and hopefully hand out some helium balloons.
We would LOVE you to participate,
Or, make some ‘Valentines Day’ cards for us to hand out,

Thanks
Kathy x"

I hope the day goes well and that a lot of people are feeling the love!!! What a BEAUTIFUL thing it is to think of others and to also SHOW that you love them by sharing your precious times and talents with them!!!
Here's what I have come up with today so far.....

Creative Mediums that inspire me...

Last year I was nominated for an Australia Day Awards night...
Because of the nomination I was invited along with some guests to go to the dinner and awards night.. there must have been at least 200 people in attendance... It was a lovely night... The food was great the company grand and the decorations were very Australian... Lovely... There were 60 nominations in various categories....

I am very humbled and a little embarrassed to have been nominated.. but mostly grateful that I can do something to help out in some small way.. One never sets out to receive recognition for things you do... I heard this from almost all of the winners in each category of nominations on the night and it really does ring true for me!!! Most of what I do with the PaperANGELS, Community wise and with QPAC Choir is because I LOVE IT!!! Because it is an escape from the real world and lifts me up from the woes of life... It fills the well and allows me to be a better person so that I can give more of myself to my loved ones....

I was nominated for fundraising events with PaperANGELS for the Marter Mothers... and The Arty Farty Morning Tea Party.... The tour to Singapore with the Queensland Festival Chorus... and other things that I do at church or with the community relating to craft and sharing of the talents the Lord has blessed me with... Because of the influence and support of each one of the PaperANGELS Team I would not have been able to do half of the things I have over the last few years... I am grateful to all of them and mostly to Liz (who came with me on the night & didn't want photos of herself!!!)
And I am extremely grateful for my involvement with such a wonderful Choir... and a TOTALLY AMAZING Choir Conductor Alison Rogers... Music communicates when there is no words or when Language is a barrier... It touches the soul and enriches your life... It moves people in ways that words alone would never do... I believe that it is the language of the Angels!!! And I am ETERNALLY Grateful to have it in my life.. and to be exploring, learning and creating through this medium! What a blessing it has been to my family's life in 2009! I can only hope that it will continue to be such a huge part of our families life for years to come!!!

In recognition of our nomination all nominees received a framed certificate and had to do a walk on the stage.. which frightened the life out of me!!! Get me up there to sing or act.. no problem.. perhaps a few nerves... but it is not imposable.... but to stand and just be me... phew.. that is hard... especially when you feel that it's all a bit of a fuss... being recognised for the little something you were able to give back when so many wonderful people and organisations had given to you over the past few years... I was humbled and honored to be there.. And very grateful to have Liz there with me...

My Wall Hanging

Wall Hanging - My Boys - All My Love... This is the photos that I put into my wall hanging.. (Sale-a-Bration kit project) I had some photos printed up at home and because I wanted to take a photo of the finished project for the Sale-a-Bration Kit promo flier.. I had to finish it... Considering that it was pretty random... and I sifted through the photos many many times... well I was really touched when I came up with these three photos....

At Liz's I had pre-stamped (because I did not have any Sale-a-Bration sets YET!!!) the greetings and punched them out so that when I got home I could finish this project off... as I read the sayings I chose photos that I thought may go with the words....

The first one is - "Follow your Heart ~ it knows the way"...
I liked that I had both of my boys cuddled up and reading to me in this photo... My boys are very important to me...

The second one is - "Happiness Always"....
I LOVE the photo of my boys putting funny faces.. It ALWAYS Does make me happy....

And the Third one is - "The more candles the BIGGER the wish"
This photo was taken when Aaron was first in hospital almost 5 years ago now.. He was in there being diagnosed on his 30th birthday.... and instead of candles on his cake I got a HUGE syringe from the Nurses to stick in the cake... My girlfriend and I made his cake look like a BUM.... cause we needed to make light of the SERIOUSNESS of all that was happening at that time... It was soooooooo funny coming up with all the Bum puns for the situation... like 'it's a real pain in the Bum... that he's in hospital..'
When I got to this photo I realised how special this wall hanging is for me.... It really made me appreciate our boys (being that it is school holidays and they are home I needed the reminder of how SPECIAL they are.. heheh) That our boys make us laugh and we all enjoy one another's company... (for the most part) and also that the BIGGEST Wish we could all have is that Aaron eventually gets better....

Like Oprah would say... It was an "ARH Moment"
I hope you have those kind of moments too with your Scrapping....

Happy NEW YEAR!!! - 2010

May you all have a wonderfulGreeting the New Year 2010 with Sparkler Writing And may you be blessed with much joy and happiness... May this year bring many great opportunities too good to pass up.. and may you create many opportunities to grow and learn in every way possible!!! God bless and keep you safe...

(this is a photo of our family and a friend with sparklers on NYE.. you can achieve this by making your shutter on your camera stay open longer.. I think it is called ISO speed.. or if you are lucky enough to have a fireworks setting it will do it automatically for you.. Brilliant effect!!! and heaps of fun to do!!!)

Some Recent Cards made

I made these cards before I left for the Queensland Festival Chorus tour to Singapore... To say thanks for all the hard work of those who made the whole WONDERFUL experience possible... The idea was that many people would have space sign.. I got some of the inspiration and ideas from 2009 Convention.. with the thump and bump Male card technique A Booklet Card made for Male Thank youand the 12x12 card style...12x12 Folded Square Thank you Card
12x12 Folded Square Thank you Card insideThe greatest thing about these cards is that you can take the ideas from your smaller cards you have made in the past and make them bigger.... then add more pages bound with ribbon or brads down the spine... most of these had room enough for 40 people write a personal message and sign them, as the were 6 x A5 double sided.... It looks really nice if you put some stamping on the inside pages too..Inside the Pages of Booklet Card
(This is actually the inside of another card I made for my dear friend Jenny Coggins who passed away tragically 6-12-09, leaving her 2 beautiful daughters... I was not able to go to the funeral.. because of our Singapore tour... but I was able to write letters to her Daughters, Mother, X Husband and make a card for all the women at church to sign if they wanted to... My little way of supporting and grieving with everyone else... RIP my Dear Dear friend.. Until we meet again!!! I know you will be working hard to help us all achieve our potential!!!)

Stampin on the inside also helps so that when you pull it apart, to have more than one person sign at a time... that they can all write on it the right way up and when it is time for you to reassemble it, it looks organised and uniformed ...Beautiful Shabby Chic Booklet CardStamping a matching envelope adds that extra special touch as well...

Christmas is coming!!!

Nativity Set... I had the opportunity to make another Nativity set for a friend a few weeks ago and I managed to take individual photos... Handmade Nativity Sculpty SetSo sorry if you have seen these before but they are really cute... and detailed... As I make more I become better!!! If you would like some please contact me.. The basic set is $60 the whole set with the wise men is $90All Set up Stable With Nativity SetThe box that they come in makes the barn... Quite a cute design really...
My friend wanted baby Jesus to not be stuck in his manger.. She had a tradition growing up... She has been looking for a nativity set that facilitated her Childhood Family tradition but has struggled for years to find one... I was so happy to help her out...

The Beautiful tradition was that her Mum used to hide Baby Jesus and the 8 kids would go looking for him on Christmas morning... What a BEAUTIFUL tradition!!! I love it!!! The kids can be just like the wise men!! Looking for the Baby Jesus... Brings tears to my eyes... Very symbolic and brings the real meaning of CHRISTmas back home big time... I think I have to make a new Baby Jesus figurine for my set now...
