HOPE - Ribbon of Courage

I made this BEAUTIFUL card for a friend whose baby passed recently... It is with retired DSP's but I was able to used my lovely friends (Jennifer's) NEW Ribbon of Courage Stamp set... And I don't own the alphabet thinlets so I just printed out the letters onto card stock and cut them out...
Inspiration and design for this card was TOTALLY CASED from Patty Bennett's BEAUTIFUL card she shared a few weeks ago on our Demo Party FB Page!
Thank you Patty... So very much...
It means so much to my friend as HOPE stands for How One Perceives Everything... According to her... This saying helped her nurse a CRITICALLY ill child for two years... A Beautiful little spirit that the Dr's wrote off in the first few days of his life here on Earth... She was a TRUE inspiration and AMAZING woman!!!

I Love the Demo FB Page and all the sharing everyone does!! Thank you ALL for the inspiration!!!!!

This was little Bronsons 2nd Birthday cake... His memorial was held on his birthday...

ANGEL BABIES - TREASURED Memories

I had a beautiful friend of mine bring her TREASURED memories of her two ANGEL BABIES .. their tiny tiny foot prints and hand prints.. they were on two little bits of pink and blue paper... not really very substantial... but treasured none the less.... She had them up on her fridge over the years and had received some judgmental comments about them... asking why she would want to display them... She mentioned to me one day at church that she took them down because she didn't want to offend anyone.... It hurt my heart to think that someones words would cause her such pain and cause her to feel she needed to "Hide" them. It was then that I knew we needed to make them look as BEAUTIFUL and treasured as they really are... SO I did this with them for her...
With the basic set out of Angel Baby Footprint Cards and Name Cards I was able to make these wonderful memories into a piece of art that no one will ever have anything but WONDERFUL things to say!!!
It is such an honor to be able to share what we can with others to bless their lives...

And Stampin' Up allows us to do it with ease and pizzazz!!!

Small Stamp's - Stamp and Stack Class

This Cute Stamp Set was given to many of us as a PRIZE PATROL at the On Stage Event...
(Every Occasion • 20 rubber stamps 141879 $50.00 aud | $61.00 nzd (wood blocks included) • 141882 $37.00 aud | $44.00)

I Went to Auckland NZ this year...SOOOO AWESOME!!! Now that the onstage events are all over the world you can combine your Stampin Up passion with traveling if you wish... and get to meet some lovely Overseas stamping up Demos... So cool...

Anyway back to the cute stamp set.... The lovely NZ demo that introduced this stamp set to us had designed this cute set out for her demo cards.. So when I came home I had to put it to use and had a stamp n stack class using these stamps... It's a great way to use many small stamps in an effective way.. Also she had this fantastic tip with some of the stamps you may not use too much.. change teh stamp... you can cut it or you can just stamp a section of the stamp to create somethign different.. like the border on the Wedding bell card.. it's created with the Jewish Candle Sticks as a scallop border.. COOL idea hay?!!!

Baby Brag Booklet

Have you ever wanted to give a LOVELY present and found that money was just too tight??? Well... my focus this year was making Christmas special and beautiful without the price tag...

This little baby Brag booklet was inspired by a Stampin' Up! instructional video I watched with a cool technique I used with an embossing folder, brayer adn ink pad...  (click for link Here) And would you believe that it may have only cost about $5 to $8 to make??? but if you are like me and already have all the card stock, stamps inks, embellishments and ribbon... well it costs nothing more than a little time... :)... that makes me very HAPPY!!!

I wanted the journaling to be hidden as I (like many) do not like my hand writing... I think it spoils the BEAUTIFUL page... sooooo the BEST solution is make a pocket and a tag to pull out with plenty of room to journal... so you will have the best of both worlds... personal hand written journaling that will not interfere with the page.... I do believe it is important to have some hand written things from our loved ones as it is a part of them... who they were when they have passed on... so please if you do feel like me and do not like your writing.. DON'T do all your journaling with the computer or symply just not journal at all... Write the story down... and do it in your own hand every now adn then... Your children and grand children (and so on) will be very grateful!!!

I hope this inspires you to make BEAUTIFUL handmade gifts... That cost only time and that capture a little of the "YOU" essence... (in creation and in hand writing... ;P )

Enjoy

Display boards From Convention

I did not realise how much work people put into these wonderful tutorials and information sessions.. Until I started to crop the photos so that I could put each up individually... When you are sitting in the audience trying to soak in the information and watching the demos... Well it all happens so fast because of "the magic of television" and "here's one I prepared earlier"... I'm waiting for the stake knives to be brought out.. heheh... I just wanted to say THANK YOU to all the wonderful demonstrators that gladly shared their Time talent and ideas!!! You's are all inspirations... (love the english??? yous... bahh haah haah)

I learned so much form Convention and was so inspired!!! I really want to just sit and create non stop for a month... Of course that is not possible... you need to eat and sleep.. take kids to school... cook and clean... You know do all those hum drum things you used to enjoy b4 you became obsessed with paper Crafts...

With all the information that was shared with us and all the demos and displays.... well you would have to be mute and blind to not have learned something... We learned... how to use tools properly, some different techniques, new ideas on how to run your workshops... Little tips that make them more interesting and exciting for your hostess... We learned some more about our great business tools on the web site, some catch phrases, and selling information.. We laughed we cried we jumped for joy. We clapped & cheered, wolf whistled, ohhed and arhed... we got embarrassed (more on that later) and recognised... Some received free stamp sets... (not me... NEXT year they will be mine... yes they will) Some of us were followed around by the camera man!!! some call that stalking.. but when you do crazy things and wear a Halo.. well that's kind of asking for it!!!.... All in all it was a fabulous time...

But wait there's more..... No steak Knives still... ... heheheh

I highly recommend to all demonstrators (hobbyist to career demos) to start putting some money away each week.... about $15 per week should build a really nice nest egg for next years convention in Sydney...That will give you a bit of spending money too!!! Start stashing!!! take it off your profits of your Workshops...

Babies Card using Punches

I have been looking at our punches in a totally different way these days.. It all started with the dream about the Christmas "Babies First" decoration... (Link http://stampinwithu.blogspot.com/2008/10/3rd-annual-paper-angels-christmas-card.html)
So this is what I have come up with to use it on a card.... Again using the punches....

The bib is made out of the Scallop Circle punch .. with a pleat and chopped with the Oval Punch to make the neck shape... I didn't want the 'happy' on the New BABY stamp so I inked up the BABY with my Stampin' Write Markers and then used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to make the new in the center...

Baby Card

This Baby card is created by stamping on to velum with StazOn and then by turning over the velum you colour in on the back of the velum with your Watercolor Wonder Crayons. The round tag is done by using the Riveting hostess stamps which is then punched out using the 1-1/4 inch Hole Punch. Punch another circle out of card stock with the 1-3/8 inch punch and glue them together using your SNAIL Adhesive, then punched on either side to thread hemp twine which is stuck down with sticky glue dots on back of overlay card and then it is stuck to the card. I love this technique it is really simple, subtle and effective!!! Try it you can do so much more with the Watercolor Wonder Crayons! They are one of my favorite products!!!

Baby Bundle Card

Back of Card (open)

Inside Card (open)

A girlfriend has just recently had a baby... So I made this card for her.. I used some of the new techniques that I learned in Regional’s.... I stamped the vellum (pg 130) with Staz On (pg 144 ) and then coloured in the picture on the back with the watercolour wonder crayons.(pg 144).... Don’t forget they are ON Special this month(July 2007)!!! I also used the tag punch (pg 140) to punch out a double ended tag so I could tie the package together... Quite cute really...
