Manly Scraps
I often hear that manly cards are hard to make.. Many get stumped.. Male cards are all about colour, texture, industrial embellishment, and simple.... In these cards I've pulled out my box of DSP scraps and used the Tailored Tag Punch (145667 A$31) and just placed the pieces on a card base... Adhered a ribbon at the top of them and stamped the sentiment.. SUPER simple...
See what other shapes you can use to create these super simple manly cards..
Have fun making it MANLY.. ;P

Community Class Cards
I have a FANTASTIC group of ladies that I teach every week at the Kingston East Neighbourhood Group.
I learned last year that I have been teaching there for 7 years.. I was shocked to learn that.. As it really only feels like maybe a couple of years.. but let me tell you something... As much as the ladies love my classes I LOVE teaching them.. they are my saving grace!! If I did not have them to teach each week I have no doubt I would become a hermit and loose a massive purpose in my life... I love seeing them and spending time with them.. being inspired by them and teaching them!!! I look forward to our time together each week.. and when it is school holidays I miss them dearly!!!
So here are a few cards from the past 6 months or so.. as you know I'm catching up because of technical difficulties.. and well.. there are loads of FANTASTIC cards to share....
This cute card above here was a bit fiddly but looks so lovely made with the now retired Fruit Basket Stamp Set and Punches.... I love the dark polka-dot background it really makes the feature stamping pop!!
This one was inspired buy a pinterest post using the Picture Perfect Birthday Stamp set... WE also made a little gift tag to go with this one... but I seem to have missed taking a photo of it!!

I love Sale-A-Bration time of the year cause
Stampin' Up gives you extra stamp sets for purchasing your normal stuff... Wahoo.. Who doesn't like FREE stuff?? and This Stamp set was COOL!!

Yet again another Sale-A-Bration card made with the

And this one was done just for fun because it was one of my ladies Gym Trainers Birthday.. adn she wanted to make him a quick little card but had no stamp sets to suit...
Turns out neither did I.. so we came up with this little (QUICK) punch art set of hanging boxing gloves..
She was very happy with the result... Phew.. Talk about pressure... all goods.. I love to be challenged and to think outside of the box...

Epic Celebrations was one of those stamp sets that I think I may have to just hang onto forever.. Cause it is cool for Teen cards... especially male Teens...
There was quite a few techniques used in this card. First we stamped the guitar with Stayz On and masked the Guitar and then stamped the Splotches in the background in crumb cake ... then on a separate piece of card stock we stamped the shoes in Stayz On and then painted the images with Aqua Painter Pens and ink..Using Stampin' Markers we inked up the greeting by wiping the colour on a diagonal... Then in this 2nd card when I taught it again to another class you can see that the shoelaces are a little more pronounced.. We coloured them in with a White Gel ink pen...
Yet again another Sale-A-Bration card made with the
Beautiful Peacock Photopolymer Stamp Set.... there were so many things you could do with this one... the one on the left has rock n roll an heat embossing and the one on the right has ribbon fringing and fraying...
Oh and this little PARTY PANDA S-A-B Set.. oh my word... So Cute!!!
The background is on watercolour paper and we just used some re-inkers and aqua painters to drip the colour onto the page.. then you stamp the Panda on extra card stock and cut him out... He is just so cute!!!

Craftroom organisation - Woodworking by Hubbie
Check out my punch rack.. WAHOOOIEEEE!!. My hubbie made this for me a month ago... and I am LOVING it but as you can see I already need another level... or perhaps another whole shelving system.. seeings as I NEVER get rid of my punches.. :P #Ilovestampinuppunches
#Myhubbieisthebest!
And this is a FANTASTIC bench he made for one of my fantastic fellow SU demos and dear friend.. Jen.. She wanted a stand up work station where she could display stuff and also do BIG SHOT stuff.. then she wanted to have some cupboards of coasters to slide under the table so all her stamps, punches and other accessories could be stored in them,... HOW AWESOME is this??? I think I may have to put an order in!!! I loved it so much while it was in my studio awaiting to be delivered I just had to use it!!! :P

Boxes FULL of Christmas

What a Fantastic Event.. How Awesome were the projects?
Everyone LOVED them!!!!
This was the TEASER I sent out to all my customers to get them interested in coming to the event...
I took some close up photos of some of the elements on each project and used my PhotoCollage App on my phone and wallah here is the teaser. Too easy...
And here is all the Projects we made on the day.... We played Christmas Carols all day...
And we raised money again for the Angel Baby Boxes....

This Three Times a Reindeer Card was inspired by Margaret Johnson photo I found on Pintrest... www.stamphaven.ca.

This project - Christmas Tea Time Box was a SMASH HIT.. Everyone loved it.. It is such a simple project and easy to mass produce... And it is so DANG cute!!!
I found the cute little spoons in the bargin shop they were $2.50 for a 20 pack... the Measurements in this project are in the instructions in the PDF attached to this blog... If you would like to reproduce... You could make these for gifts for teachers.. for birthdays or just for thank you's...
I found this fantastic idea and was inspired by Franz - www.franz-z-blog.blogspot.com.au ... I changed the measurements slightly...
This Wooden Block Christmas Perpetual Calendar was another hit.. It was pretty easy to make although we did come up with a better way to cover the blocks.. Rather than trying to sand off the excess we learned that it is MUCH quicker to use a craft knife to cut off the excess and then to sand the edges...
My talented Hubbie made the blocks and the stands...
We were so grateful for this GORGEOUS project!!!

The little Mini Jingle Bells are so cute as holly Berries.. and the fine silver thread is just such a nice touch to embellish it a little more... If you stick the embellishment onto a wooden peg you can change it to something else with ease.

Christmas EXPLOSION Box ... This was fun to make.. a little intricate but could you imagine your loved ones of friends opening it up to find all the wonderful pockets full of pictures and journaling...

Here's a close up of the BEAUTIFUL tag on the outside of the box made with our lovely new Cheerful Tag Framelets... 141838

This is the Box opened up.. It's pretty impressive when you take off the lid and it all folds out..
If you wanted to you could also take out the inserts and put them into a scrapbook album no problem...
Here is some photos of the individual inserts

And a close up of the Christmas tree...

I LOVE this Jolly Jumper Card.. How cute is he??
Punch Art is always my favorite things to do with paper craft.. .. and this little CUTIE is made from only 2 punches... (Cookie Cutter Builder 40396 and Jolly Hat Builder 141847) TOO EASY.. FANTASTIC for us AUSSIES!!! A little Kangaroo!!!

Here is the instructions for how to make this little cutie!!!!
The original Punch Art was created by Carolyn Bennie - www.carolynbennie.com....
I love that Stampin Up demos share their FANTASTIC Creations.. So we can all look super talented and creative!!!
We had 7 ladies attend and 4 who couldn't make the day and purchased the kits to take home.. So with our botique class we raised a total of $120... A fantastic effort...

Well.... Look who's Happy Double Page Scrapbook Layout..
This was one of the most beautiful classes I have done in a while.. I love this double page spread...
Heaps of techniques used in this one.. we daubered, die cut, punch art, shadow stamped, random stamped, distressed and separated card stock, background stamped.. and ripped...
Ever wanted to make a darker card stock have lighter images on it??? Grab your White craft ink and allow to dry ... then grab the colour you want to stamp and stamp on top... this is shadow stamping... it's how we created the little navy background cards on the spread... even if you do not stamp right on top it really doesn't matter... Pollymer stamps are the best for this technique as you can line them up pretty well by eye balling the image... :P
The white flowers are made by ripping some card stock into 3 different sized circle-ish shapes. Then you scrunch them and use a brad to hole the 3 layers together.. Too easy...
The Indigo and Night of Navy flowers are distressed and pulled apart flowers.. We punched the flowers out 2x big, 2x medium adn 1 x small sizes... then used a bone folder like a peeler on each flower between your thumb and pointer finger.. to distress and break apart the fibers... once you can see the card is separating you can carefully pull apart the layers.. Stampin Up Card stock is GREAT for this technique as it is specially designed to do just that... once they are all apart you can then hold them together with a brad... then you scrunch up each layer (one at a time) using your fingers very close to the brad base... until all layers are TOTALLY scrunched into what resembles a tight bud... Then you can go ahead a spread them out a little to make the flower BLOOM.. :)
The Well was stamped using the Wooden background stamp and cut 1cm strips... then daubered around each strip and stuck then onto a scrap staggering the height of each layer.. trimming off the bottom by hand and then making the belt around with the Lg Oval punch by snipping a chunk out of card stock then taking a further bit out... making the perfect barrel belt... using the stamp n write marker to add the little nail accents holding together the well...
One of the great things about this layout is you can put several photos on.. and the 2nd page could have either a panoramic pic on it or 3 of the same size across the middle and the little one on top..
My ladies really enjoyed this class.. and Loved learning how to make their own embellishments... one of the ladies wanted to put her baby announcement photos onto her page and so we changed the well into a baby's cradle.. with a little more punch art magic... (I wish I took a photo of it.. It turned out well.. )
Enjoy all your crafting..

Birthday Ladybug Scrapping - Angel Ave Class

How GORGEOUS are these pages?..
I found the inspiration and idea on Pintrest and then I created it with the die cuts and punches I own... I love Punch art.. and this page although it is simple and cute to look at.... well because there are so many bits and layers to each element it was a little complicated and it did take a little while... but the result is SOOOOOOOOOO worth it!!!
How could you not just want to smile when looking at your lovely memories on these pages!!!!
I loved the pages so much that I had to design a card for my Thursday Card Group.. So I could share the Love Bug with them.. :P

Using Scraps - Stamp n Stack
I think maybe I have been a little obsessed with the Ombre look.. this card is a great card to make with the circle punch and emboss the layers with different embossing folders to give it a texture... We punched heaps of circles and made two of these cards...
This is another one of my FAVORITES!!! I love it!!! if you get 4 Long strips of card stock and emboss and ink the embossing folders to use them as a stamp you can create such a great quilted look... by cutting the strips into four pieces and placing them down in a pattern... It's a little fiddly but it is so worth the finished look!!!
Commumity Card Class

Here are some of the cards we have made recently at KENG Community Card Class... These first two were made with scraps and punches...

This little Easter one is a cute design too.. It is a very easy one... I find simple is great to show people a technique or to show how to use scraps and keep the cost of the card down...
This one is made from offcuts when you cut a matt for your cards... I keep all of my little strips in a bag to use them later... My ladies loved this card as they all got to choose their own colours..
The technique used for this male card is called paper piecing... you stamp the image on paper or card stock and cut out the little pieces and then past them on the full immage...

Using the Decorative Label Punch and cutting out several colours you can layer them to make a larger border of colour on them.....
Ombre coloured cards are lovely too... by gluing them on the card base first and then putting the card through the Big Shot with an embossing folder adds another texture and level...
This lovely Shabby Chic Card is BEAUTIFUL.. One of my favourites... To get the textured Shabby look on the back mat you can brayer on some ink and then put it in the Big Shot and Emboss it... Then take your sanding block and rough it up a little..
This lovely little simple card is great to do when you are in a rush... you can churn out one of these in about 5 mins...

By Embossing the lovely Christmas wreath with Silver you can create a lovely Sympathy card...
