Well.... Look who's Happy Double Page Scrapbook Layout..

This was one of the most beautiful classes I have done in a while.. I love this double page spread...

Heaps of techniques used in this one.. we daubered, die cut, punch art, shadow stamped, random stamped, distressed and separated card stock, background stamped.. and ripped...

Ever wanted to make a darker card stock have lighter images on it??? Grab your White craft ink and allow to dry ... then grab the colour you want to stamp and stamp on top... this is shadow stamping... it's how we created the little navy background cards on the spread...  even if you do not stamp right on top it really doesn't matter...  Pollymer stamps are the best for this technique as you can line them up pretty well by eye balling the image... :P

The white flowers are made by ripping some card stock into 3 different sized circle-ish shapes. Then you scrunch them and use a brad to hole the 3 layers together.. Too easy...

The Indigo and Night of Navy flowers are distressed and pulled apart flowers.. We punched the flowers out 2x big, 2x medium adn 1 x small sizes... then used a bone folder like a peeler on each flower between your thumb and pointer finger.. to distress and break apart the fibers... once you can see the card is separating you can carefully pull apart the layers.. Stampin Up Card stock is GREAT for this technique as it is specially designed to do just that...  once they are all apart you can then hold them together with a brad... then you scrunch up each layer (one at a time) using your fingers very close to the brad base... until all layers are TOTALLY scrunched into what resembles a tight bud... Then you can go ahead a spread them out a little to make the flower BLOOM.. :)

The Well was stamped using the Wooden background stamp and cut 1cm strips... then daubered around each strip and stuck then onto a scrap staggering the height of each layer.. trimming off the bottom by hand and then making the belt around with the Lg Oval punch by snipping a chunk out of card stock then taking a further bit out... making the perfect barrel belt... using the stamp n write marker to add the little nail accents holding together the well...

One of the great things about this layout is you can put several photos on.. and the 2nd page could have either a panoramic pic on it or 3 of the same size across the middle and the little one on top..

My ladies really enjoyed this class.. and Loved learning how to make their own embellishments... one of the ladies wanted to put her baby announcement photos onto her page and so we changed the well into a baby's cradle.. with a little more punch art magic... (I wish I took a photo of it.. It turned out well.. )

Enjoy all your crafting..

My Happy Place Booklet - Angel Ave Class

I've always wanted and meant to do something that was just about me... so I designed this little booklet for a recent Angel Ave Class to be just that... About me.. (I mean about each class member individually.. cause who would want to write and keep a booklet about me?? chaaahhh... hehe) ... SO the idea behind this little booklet is to write about some of my
-favorite things..
-what makes me happy and smile...
-things I like to do..
-places I have been
-little interesting things about me...
-Perhaps things I may say
- Life moto or tagline....

To be quite honest I've never really been good at talking bout myself.. I hate the feeling of blowing my own trumpet.. Even though saying that you are good at something is not necessary "Blowing your own trumpet".. I think it may be a little bit of an Australian custom/thing... Like the Tall Poppy syndrome or something.. you know.. someone may say they seem "up themselves".. or like "they love themselves a little too much", if they do this kind of thing... But come on... just get over it already!!!  Your family and friends love to learn about you... and what really makes you tick.. and in a few decades this little booklet could be an inspiration and a treasure to your relative (children or Grandchildren)......

Now the question is WHERE TO START???? If you are like me and you struggle to do this kind of thing.. it is great to get some friends to help you get the ball rolling.. get them to tell you things they know and like about you... Things that they think you are good at... and if you want you could even get them to write the things down on little sticky notes that you could later transfer into your book... Family is also good to ask... cause even the little annoying things you say and do with and to your family  can be a treasured memory...  (one thing that comes to my mind when I remember my Mother is that she never let me go out without saying good bye and I love you... hugging and giving a kiss on the cheek... Even after we had had a huge argument about the cleanliness of my room... ;P .. I didn't really appreciate that when I was a teen.. but when she passed and now that I am raising teens it really is something I hold dear and treasure the memory of her persistence in showing and expressing love toward each other...... )

Anyway.. If you like me have wanted to do something like this make a start today.. Because it will be treasured!!!

Have Fun!!! xxoo

Birthday Ladybug Scrapping - Angel Ave Class

Birthday Ladybug Scrapbook page - Punch Art
Birthday Ladybug Scrapbook page 2 - Punch Art
How GORGEOUS are these pages?..

I found the inspiration and idea on Pintrest and then I created it with the die cuts and punches I own... I love Punch art.. and this page although it is simple and cute to look at.... well because there are so many bits and layers to each element it was a little complicated and it did take a little while... but the result is SOOOOOOOOOO worth it!!!

How could you not just want to smile when looking at your lovely memories on these pages!!!!

I loved the pages so much that I had to design a card for my Thursday Card Group.. So I could share the Love Bug with them.. :P

Small Stamp's - Stamp and Stack Class

This Cute Stamp Set was given to many of us as a PRIZE PATROL at the On Stage Event...
(Every Occasion • 20 rubber stamps 141879 $50.00 aud | $61.00 nzd (wood blocks included) • 141882 $37.00 aud | $44.00)

I Went to Auckland NZ this year...SOOOO AWESOME!!! Now that the onstage events are all over the world you can combine your Stampin Up passion with traveling if you wish... and get to meet some lovely Overseas stamping up Demos... So cool...

Anyway back to the cute stamp set.... The lovely NZ demo that introduced this stamp set to us had designed this cute set out for her demo cards.. So when I came home I had to put it to use and had a stamp n stack class using these stamps... It's a great way to use many small stamps in an effective way.. Also she had this fantastic tip with some of the stamps you may not use too much.. change teh stamp... you can cut it or you can just stamp a section of the stamp to create somethign different.. like the border on the Wedding bell card.. it's created with the Jewish Candle Sticks as a scallop border.. COOL idea hay?!!!

Mothers Day Card - Class

This lovely Girly Mother's day card was created with the heart border punch, butterfly thinlets and Apothecary framelets... In a Friday Angel Ave Studio Class.... It's a simple card but looks effective... The layering effect is nice too...

This Poor neglected Blog!!!!

Life is ALWAYS changing and isn't it GREAT??!!
As you can see this poor blogg of mine has been SADLY neglected.. but with two teenagers.. High school commitments and sports commitments and friends social lives, Church commitments, Choir rehearsals. Craft Classes, Working 3 different jobs, Hubbie commitments.. fixing the house.... taxi Driving....  and fitting all of that around my JOB/HOBBY that I LOVE... (Stampin' UP!!!) Well.. It seems I had to let go of some things.. but I am making a resolution now to make more of an effort to post on here more often!!!

I seem to be able to post onto Face Book quite easily.. so why not just copy and paste onto here??? That shouldn't be too hard right?!!!  lets see how well I can keep up with my resolution....

Well for starters Our new 2016-2017Catalogue is due to come out soon!!!! Wahoooooo.. I can't wait until we can show the GORGEOUS products and projects that are in this catty.. I reccon it is one of THE BEST EVA!!!  I've been a Demo for 9 years now.. and this year we celebrated the10th year of being in the South Pacific.. Australia and New Zealand... and I had a great time this year at the On Stage Event.. As I went to New Zealand with a fellow Creative Angel... (Jen) When it was announced that the New On Stage events would take over from the Convention type events as we knew them.... and then announced that they would be held in several different countries  with a live broadcast from Salt Lake... and Local On Stage presenters in various countries...  We (Jen and I) spoke briefly about how much fun that could be.. and how we would like to go to New Zealand as the New Zealanders have had to come to us for the last 7 years!!! It seemed only fair.. So in the beginning of this year Jen called me and asked if I was serious about going to NZ for the On Stage Event.... HELL YEAH!!!! SO COOL!!!!... Right then and there we decided to make our Dream and wish of going overseas for a Stampin' Up event (and to travel) a REALITY....

A few days after I registered for the event I was contacted by Emma from NZ head office... And she asked me if I would do a 15 min presentation... arrrggghhhh... But I said yes.. what was the worst that could happen??

We had such a  wonderful time... We met so many BEAUTIFUL people.. and were invited and welcomed into a Wonderful NZ team of Demonstrators...  We stayed with the lovely Stephanie and Paula's parents.. We got lifts to places we needed to go and we were looked after so wonderfully...  Stampin' Up! Demos are just like extended family... It's such a wonderful organisation to belong to...  I love it... And NZ it's self is TRULY BEAUTIFUL!!!

There is so much more to tell about our trip toe NZ and the Onstage event... but i must keep it brief at this stage as I don't want to wear myself out on the first blog post for almost 2 years!!! I cant believe it's been that long!!!!!!

So here is a photo or two that I can show from the Onstage event in NZ.... yeah...

See the CUTE little Yellow Bear Peeking from behind the On Stage sign???  We were made to feel like one of the family with the Yellow Bear Team!!! XXXOOO

This is how CRAZY we get when we see the NEW CATALOGUE!!!! (The Beautiful Paula... and her new Catalogue....)

Watercolor Mini Album Calss

Bec brought this lovely swap back from the USA convention... Some extremely industrious demonstrator had been very generous and swapped a whole mini Brag book..... When i saw the beautiful project I wanted to CASE it.. and then when I said to the Paper Angels that I was going to case it they asked me to write down all the measurements so they could case it also... so being a diligent Angel.. I did just that... And I have learned how to attach the PDF for all to use... So if you like the project please feel free to download the PDF...  xxxooo

Watercolor Papers And Watercolor Backing

I LOVED the Watercolour Designer Series Papers... The were just so bright and happy!!! This design of a card is a very easy design.. simple and very reproducible!!! And to match the paper you can create your very own watrecolour background matting for your Cards... Using your ink pads and your Aquapainter pens... Happy Watercolouring...

Project Life Like Class

This was a great class I did to use up some retired DSP... Its a great way to use your left overs... I held this class before Stampin' Up! announced the Partnership with Project Life... Now that I have created these pages and we are using Project Life I have the idea to cut all my left overs of DSP to use with my Project life scrapping... I love the quick easy way to create a page with squares and rectangle pieces of paper and card stock.. Which is what Project life is all about!!

Owl Baby Cards - Stamp n Stack

I love the Owl Builder Punch.. It is such a FANTASTIC punch.. you can do so much with it... The vest makes for cute little dresses or bibs for a baby's card...

Dress Card

This is a lovely card that I CASED from pintrest I think... I Oval used my Framelets to cut the frill of the skirt and my heart framelet to make the top part of the dress.. You only take the framelet through on the Big Shot half way...  It's Quite a cue and easy card to make.. And Cute To Boot!!!
