It was Hubbies Bros Birthday recently and we decided that it would be nice to have a hand made gift for him... What better than having all of us with a hand in making it????
Grab a canvas paint the background and have everyone in the family paint their hands then place them on the canvas... Whalah... Definitely something that is literally HAND MADE... heheheh...
I only wish I had have done it years ago when the kids hands were smaller!!!!
We chose simple black and white and gray because it is kind of modern... and we thought it would go with the minimalistic design style of their house.... I think he liked it.... We had FUN doing it!!!
If you wanted to use some Stampin Up! stamps on your canvas you could always do that too!!!!
Happy Creating!!!!
This Blog is a place for me to share creative ideas thoughts and ventures... whether they be my own or other inspirational people I know. I have been blessed and would like to bless others... Please enjoy.. Lots of Love Ursula

Punch Art at it's finest!!
Can you believe that these BEAUTIFUL roses are made from Card stock.... Punched out with the Owl punch and the Large Scallop circle punch??? After hearing about how fantastic these are from Robyn I just had to do a Google search to see if I could make them too... Cause you know PUNCH ART is here to say at the moment!!! They are really beautiful and the possibilities are endless... They are a little bit fiddly but I would not say they are hard... If you would like to make them please take a look at this instructional video... It's how I learned...

21st Birthday Cards
Last week after all the guests had left from our second catalogue launch, I hung back with Liz and we had a bit of creative time together... Liz had a customer that wanted a card design for 21st Birthday's as her daughter will be attending loads this year.... so we made these lovely cards... with a oval punch and a scallop border you can created these fantastic catering trays....And of course we have used the new Cake punch and the lovely Birthday stamp set in the new Autumn/Winter mini catalogue....
Then we came up with this lovely 12x12 scrapbook page card below... It was inspired by a design we were shown at a convention a little while ago... you score the 12x12 page in quarters and then cut one length of the quarters... Then you fold it so it creates a booklet... We then used sticky strip to stick the 2 middle pages together and we put in a CD case so that your card can be a present too... On the front page you can place a photo and in the back one you can write your birthday message... It would make a FANTASTICALLY BEAUTIFUL Birthday card and present all in one!!!
To create this Catering Cake Tray we embossed some grey card stock with silver embossing powder and then punched it out.. It gives the card stock a really authentic silver vintage look...kind of like hand beaten pewter... It's quite lovely... It was the result of desperation of wanting some silver card stock and not having it on hand... Isn't it awesome when your creativity is challenged and you can use it to come up with something that is perhaps even better?!!!! I am sure these cards will be a huge hit!! Beautiful even...

Punch Art - Class
At my recent Punch Art class we made these lovely creations... I asked my ladies if they wanted to make some punch art and put it on a lovely card... But they insisted that they would love to make the instruction cards with the Punch Art on them so that they could remember how they were created... We were having such a great time that 7pm soon turned into 11pm.... But wow look at the results.... We made these 6 instructional Punch Art cards... I love the internet and doing Google search for Punch Art... There are SOOOOO many clever people out there.. It is so inspiring!!! Love Love LOVE-ing Punch Art at the moment!!!!

Paper Bow Belly Band
Recently I wanted to wrap a present really lovely for a dear friend of mine.. It was her birthday and she ALWAYS spoils everyone else on their Birthdays... so I really wanted it to look extra special... I made her a couple of fascinators because she LOVES them... and really wanted the outside of the box to be just about as exciting as the inside...
How I did it...... I took some DSP and cut it into 3cm x 7cm strips. (ten of them) folded them over to create the cone shape and then glued them together in a bow like fashion... Whalah... and instant BEAUTIFUL bow that PERFECTLY matches your Belly Band....
Happy Creating..

Mother's Day Cards for Troops
These are just some of the Mother's Day Cards for Troops some of our craft group and customers came up with... They will be sent off to the troops serving overseas in the next couple of days so that they have time to write in them and send them back to their Mothers for Mothers Day... Bless them for all that they do for us and our country!! And bless their Mothers for raising them!!!
There was about 100 in the pile we pulled together.. Thanks to all those lovely people who donated their time and talent... And card stock to create these special touches of love... Bless you all!!!!
Margaret made these lovely cards above with a new technique we learned at our last Stamp n stack class!!!
The cards above were really quickly put together by myself with the DSP and the card stock and Margaret finished them off with the lovely embellishments and the stamped messages...
The cards below are made by me using the one sheet wonder technique... where you take one sheet of white card stock stamp it to make it look like a background page and divide it up to make up to 8 cards... It's an AWESOME way to mass produce cards that are similar but different....
And some Punch art never goes astray.. sunflowers by me and DSP and little flowers by Barbara
Don't you just love it when your scraps can be turned into something truly lovely!!! That's what Margaret and Barbra did with these ones....
and some more beautiful cards by Margaret and Barbara....
These cards were made by Rebecca.... She is AWESOME with scraps!!!
And this pile which some were duplicated were generously made by KNEG Card craft group... There were about 10 of us there and we managed to produce about 40 cards on the day.. Fiona's Hubbie was there and even managed to produce a few cards himself....
I was so impressed with these ones... Made by one of our lovely Craft group ladies (Monique)... They are so beautiful and elegant!!! PERFECT for someones Mum I am sure!!!
The lovely Lynda made these ones.... She does such beautiful work!!!!
And Barbara made these one's they are all in the style of paper tole... where you cut out one image several times and reduce the size each time... Then adhere each layer with dimentionals to create a more 3D effect...
Thank you once again for all your lovely work...

Easter Class - 2011
This is what was created for my Easter class... 3 cute little bunnies on a card with fluffy tails.. Inspiration for this one was from the internet somewhere... I remember seeing it ages ago.... on several blogs... Also we made this FANTASTIC little basket - template was given to me from Fiona (KENG craft group)... Aaron was a dear once again and used his engineering skills to draw it up for me so that I could easily print it out onto the card stock... His quote was... "I knew I studied for a reason.. It's good to see that I can use my skills to help you craft!"... He loves it... Helping me is a pleasure ^_^ ... He is a perfectionist too!!! And that makes all his templates work.. PERFECTLY!!!! Once this one was cut out we stamped with the wood-grain background stamp to give it a more authentic pick-nick basket kind of look. The white bunnies tail was coloured by using corresponding chalks or ink pads... (HiNT - If you do use ink pads be sure to give it time to dry as it does not stick well if it is not dry.. and it falls off and it makes a dirty mark on the bunnies bottom.. which does not look too good... If you get my drift??? I have one card here that looks very Australian Sheep looking... :)
PaperANGELS Team Meeting - March 2011
For the last 2 months meetings we have been making this wonderful little flip booklet of techniques. Each month we do 3 more to add to it.. What a FANTASTIC tool to help give inspiration and to take to customers to see what kind of things they might like to learn... I have done a technique class or two over the years but I must admit that having them on this fantastic little calendar stand makes it easier to flick through them and it just looks pretty... I may just start a techniques class of my own soon!!! Stay tuned.....
As an added bonus in March Liz showed us this lovely page... She had recently had the privilege of compiling and designing a memorial album for one of her husbands work colleagues who's wife recently passed away... In 2 days she managed to create a fantastic album that is truly a treasure!!! The design was so fabulous she wanted to share it with us... I am so glad she did!!! The sugestion was to have some photos and some space for people to write messages for the family to remember their loved one by... And Liz came up with a fantastic way to keep the beautiful messages but hide them also if they were too personal to always share.
As we were at a meeting we created an 8"x8" replica page... The Panel in the middle folds down and you can place more photos on the inside of the DSP... This is where people can write a personal message too... Perfect to hide very personal messages.. or if people are like me and have MESSY writing.. well that can be hidden too and not wreck the page!!!
This whole situation started some great discussion about creating an "All about me" album... Sometimes if feels rather strange making an album about yourself.... Like you are totally conceited or something... But through our discussions we realised that it is a FANTASTIC thing to do. As you get to put things in there that really mean something to you whilst you are able to enjoy it.. And while other members of the family are able to enjoy it with you. It could create many bonding opportunities.. and help family's grow together....
So why not get a group together today adn create one of these FANTASTIC albums so that your treasured memories can live on... and maybe your wonderful group can add something to your album that will uplift you when times are trying... It is lovely to read touching thoughts and uplifting things about your charactor when you are feeling down... It gives you that extra boost to carry on!!!

Punch Art
Although Punch Art has been around like FOREVER.. I have not really gotten into it... I may have dabbled here and there but never been totally obsessed with it!!! I have been trying for years to make some great instruction cards to give examples of some punch art.. but it has never really taken off.. Til NOW....
With Bayside Craft Group and KENG Craft Group both wanting to do Punch art once a month I am REALLY lucky that I get to do it twice a month now.. And I have created so many wonderful things in the last month!!!! These are just a few of the Punch Art designs I have Goggled for and printed the images for over the last year or so... And finally I am able to say and prove (sorry for bad photo) that I have done some punch art....
With all the Stampin' Up! punches the possibilities are limitless!!!Cards, Scrapbooking embellishments, book marks and so many other cute things can be created with ones of these FANTASTIC little creatures!!!
I have even found that my children are LOVING the instruction cards as it makes it really easy for them to copy the designs and have a FANTASTIC time Punching together... (the non-hurting kind of punching for a change.. hehehe) And my craft ladies love it just as much in fact they insist that punch art be a definite monthly class!!!
What are you waiting for get too and discover the ART of Punching for yourself!!!!

'Elegant Soiree' & 'Newsprint' DSP Scrap Page
I am LOVING this Beautiful layout that I recreated at one of Liz's Crop nights last month!!! (CLICK TO GO TO LIZ'S BLOG) I loved it so much that I though my ladies would love it just as much... So I planed a class around this fabulous shabby chic textured and layered Scrapbook page...
One of the great things I LOVE about Stampin" UP! Designer Series Paper (DSP) is that one packet all goes together PERFECTLY!!! It makes the Scrapbookers task of page lay out and coordination so much easier.. Plus we have all the inks embellishments card stock etc that also coordinates with the DSP's.. what more could you ask for????
Although we used retired DSP we still created wonderful layouts with brilliant results. LOVE LOVE LOVE!
What I love about the BIG SHOT is that when you make your chip board letters you no longer have left overs!!! You can cut out EXACTLY the letters you will need... Yeah... So while the initial layout for the Die cut is a little 'x'ey the SAVINGS over the years will be phenomenal!!! I love to hang onto all the card board backings of the DSP packs... I also hang onto any other bit of packaging that may have chip board embellishment potential.... It's a great savings!!!!!!
Happy Crafting...

Bleaching Technique
At KENG - Craft - Card Class last week we made this card .... It uses the Bleaching technique.... The ladies loved it because it meant that even if you do not own a lot of the matching ink pad colours you can still get a cool background look.
To create this effect yourself all you need to do is use thick liquid bleach (like Domestos) on a wet one to create a temporary bleach ink pad... ink up your stamp with the temporary bleach ink pad... then stamp onto a darker coloured card stock.... Watch the magic happen right before your eyes as the colour starts to disappear when the bleach dries... It's quite cool.. Kind of like the secret lemon writing letters I am sure most of us have done as a kid....
This technique is great for cards but I personally would not use it for a scrapbook page.. As I would fear the bleach might react with any photos you may have on the page....
The Bleach does not affect your stamps as long as you clean them off right away... Be sure when cleaning the bleach off DO NOT use your Stamp and Scrub as it may affect the fibers... Just use another baby wipe...
