Eye Patch - Fashion Statement #2

Heading to the Theater I needed something a little blingy!!! So this is the eye patch I made out of Sculpey and Diamonties... PERRRRRTY!!!
I'm going to have a WICKED time... heheheh

Fashion Eye Patch BlingyUnfortunately it takes a little longer to make things with just one eye... and having only one eye makes you quite tired!!! So I did not get to make the GREEN eye patch (for Wicked) that I wanted to ... However I am sure my design that I have been dreaming of over the past few days will come to fruition soon!!!! Stay tuned...
Love Ursula

  1. Another amazing creation. Honestly we are all thinking, we couldn't make those with 2 eyes!

  2. Hi Ursula, got to you via Liz's blog - love the eye patch!! I have a sixth nerve palsy which is now permanent (long story) which I hope yours isn't, but went through a couple of periods where I would have given anything for an even vaguely "trendy" eye patch, let alone your masterpiece!! Good luck!

  3. Hi am a young 26 year old hopping to make her mom some nice eye patches....where did you get the stencil or did you make it yourself. I am not near my mom to match it up perfect.

    1. Hi Danyell, I bought a cheep plastic eye patch from the chemist and then I pushed a whole lot of aluminum foil into it to create a shape... then I got some Sculpty (or Fimo) clay... (you bake it once it is formed and it holds it's shape)I hand pressed the clay into the eye shape and then placed it on top of the foil (on a baking tray)to help the clay keep its shape while baking... You do need to put holes in first.. but if you forget a little drill will help to make the holes... and once it was cooled I sanded the edges with wet and dry sandpaper to make sure it was all smooth. then stuck on the jewels and coated it with clear nail polish so the stones would not fall off...

I hope this will help you to make some lovely patches for your Mother... It was all a bit of an experiment... and it worked out fine.. just have a play... put it on your eye and see how it feels... the patches are universal... the plastic ones from the chemist are icky... make you look like a cheep pirate!!! heheh.. and they are scratchy... but the clay is quite nice.. you can be sure of that with the fin sandpaper...

      Enjoy... Ursula xxxooo
