Shabby Chic Flowers
I love all things Shabby Chic and Feminine... What better way to combine all of this than in a lovely scrapbook page?...
It feels like FOREVER ago now... in 2009 I went with a wonderful group of singers from the Queensland Festival Chorus to Singapore to perform in the Esplanade with the AMAZINGLY Talented Orchestra of the Music Makers... It was such a brilliant experience.. And I was able to share it with some lovely people some of whom I know will be life long friends...
These flowers are made with our wonderful Stampin' UP! punches... The Large one is made with the Scallop Circle (1-3/4") punch and six layers of the First Edition Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP)...
The small one is made with the first layer of the Doily Triple Layer punch... again there is six layers of DSP...
The lovely Blushing Bride flower is made with 2 layers of Blossom Punch, 3 layers of the 5- Petal Flower Punch and 2 layers of the medium flower in the Boho Blossom Punch.. You need to wet the card stock and then scrunch it to give it the shaping... once it drys it keeps its shape beautifully..
Sale-A-Bration Papers...2012
This year we were so lucky to have some LOVELY paper, ribbon and brads
to choose from as well as 4 fantastic exclusive stamp sets.... Liz ran
this class and I loved it so much that I repeated it..
When you emboss the Stampin' UP! Card stock with Versa Mark and Clear Embossing Powder you end up with a slightly darker shade of card.. and then if you run it through your Big Shot and dry Emboss you can make some FANTASTIC coordinating embellishments for your projects...
And if you want to add a little extra bling you can add some Dazzling Diamonds to your embossing powder.... like I did on this bottom page....
Enjoy Experimenting!!!
Faux Etched Stone Technique
I found this cool Technique in a recent Scrapbooking Mag... Once I saw it I just had to try it and although I did not have exactly what the Magazine said was needed to produce this stunning technique I improvised with all of my Stampin Up! products...
1. I lightly dirtied up the Crumb Cake or Sahara Sand card stock with a couple of sponges with Choc Chip and Espresso ink...
2. I spritzed with the same colours in reinkers mixed with a little water in a spritz bottle...
3. Then I took a length of the Lace Ribbon Border and placed it onto the card down the bottom and using my Versa Mark I covered the entire thing with Versa Mark...
4. I removed the Lace Border strip and I then sprinkled clear embossing powder on and heated...
5. I took some White Craft ink on a sponge and lightly rubbed over the part that was not covered in embossing to make the pattern look like it has been cut out of the stone.
6. then I took a clean tissue and wipe any excess craft ink off of the embossed part of the card...
You can also achieve a really different look with dry embossing.. but instead of placing Versa Mark directly on to the card stock you can brayer it onto your embossing folder and run it through the Big Shot.. make sure that the ink is on the flat side of the embossing folder... and that it is quite well coated!! or if you have a fairly steady hand you can lightly rub the Versa Mark onto the Dry Embossed card stock and then emboss with Clear powder.
it is quite a time consuming technique but well worth it... I think it would lend itself to Male Cards quite well!!!
Enjoy

Beau Chateau Pencil Case
I LOVE Stampin Up! Designer Fabric.. How BEAUTIFUL is it??? I always
want to make something that is gorgeous and that will last with this
material because of how stunning it is!!! So I got this fantastic
idea... (which took me at least 3 months to put into action) when Kim
came over with her beautiful daughter in the beginning of this year to
make and design some custom made pencil cases for herself and some of
her school friends...It's hard when you go to a school with strict uniform to individualize... and one way you can achieve this is to make your own accessories....
Beau Chateau Fabric is sooooooooooo feminine!!! I LOVE it!!! So with the idea of making myself a pencil case I went ahead and made me this one... I didn't want to use too much of the fabric so i recycled my old jeans and used them for the inside fabric... I also thought that they would be quite strong and give the pencil case a little extra strength... I lined the Beau Chateau Fabric with some felt... again to give it some strength...
I made some lovely little bows and a little rose flower and hand sewed them on to decorate the outside.... I also used one of the lovely key charms from the last mini catalogue for an extra accent...
I made a big pocket to put all of the essentials in for when you travel with your kits or go to a class... as you can see it will fit in all your different adhesives tools and accessories.... just to make it extra feminine I added some lovely little decorative buttons and some more ribbon to the opening of the pocket...
And because I wanted to make sure that I had enough room for HEAPS of pen's, pencils, craft knives, piercers, bone folders, Aqua Painter pens and so much more... I added heaps of little individual pockets to accommodate all of these and more!!!
All in all I am quite happy with my lovely pencil case and I believe I have something really nice to keep for quite some time...
I hope this inspires you to see what else you can do with the Designer Fabrics....
