Wedding Cake Celebration

Have you ever wanted to make a lovely classy wedding cake card?? Well with these AMAZING products you can...
With the Cake Soiree Stamp Set & Sweet Cake Framelets It's super easy..

In these cards I used gold heat embossing powder to stamp teh images and then coloured with some ink taken from the inside of the ink pad lid and my Aqua Pinter Pen..

I love how detailed the serving tray is.. it looks so beautiful and elegant!!

And why not add a little extra bling with a string of sequins and some gold glimmer paper cut out with the bow shape in the framelets...

I added the greeting by cutting out a banner in black card stock and running it through the Big Shot with the Celebrate You Thinlets.. you can use the positive greeting or the negative...

Detailed Floral Thinlets - Floral Phrases

There are so many things you can do with your stampset and Die cuts.. you can create a whole suite of projects... the only limit is your imagination...

I made this cute little survival pack based on one that Felicity made for her Team members that went to On Stage earlier on this year... The were so cute I just had to do some for classes too..

Inside there was a box of tissues, a lip gloss. a mini toothbrush and paste, some tiny tic-tacs and a free sampler of face moisturiser... Later on I added a nail file and a KFC hand wipe..Of course the wipe was covered in coordinating DSP.. Cause the red on the KFC wipe is not pretty..

I googled this card design.. I loved it...I cant remember who I should give credit to for this design.. but I do love it.. It is very elegant!!!

You could also use the Die cuts to create cute bonboneries for a wedding or a party event... Joanne gave me one of these with a couple of chockies in it to say thank you...

This card is also very elegant.. It would be a great wedding card.. Invite or a lovely sympathy card (with a different greeting of course)...

I love that you can Google our stamp sets or search on Pinterest to get SO many ideas if you are stuck... And if you see design that you like you can substitute the stamps for something else.. or just simply be inspired by several cards and creatively combine them together in one masterful work of art!!!

Here's to thinking outside the box and creating a variety of projects with your beloved stamp sets and die cuts!!!
ENJOY!!!!

Small Stamp's - Stamp and Stack Class

This Cute Stamp Set was given to many of us as a PRIZE PATROL at the On Stage Event...
(Every Occasion • 20 rubber stamps 141879 $50.00 aud | $61.00 nzd (wood blocks included) • 141882 $37.00 aud | $44.00)

I Went to Auckland NZ this year...SOOOO AWESOME!!! Now that the onstage events are all over the world you can combine your Stampin Up passion with traveling if you wish... and get to meet some lovely Overseas stamping up Demos... So cool...

Anyway back to the cute stamp set.... The lovely NZ demo that introduced this stamp set to us had designed this cute set out for her demo cards.. So when I came home I had to put it to use and had a stamp n stack class using these stamps... It's a great way to use many small stamps in an effective way.. Also she had this fantastic tip with some of the stamps you may not use too much.. change teh stamp... you can cut it or you can just stamp a section of the stamp to create somethign different.. like the border on the Wedding bell card.. it's created with the Jewish Candle Sticks as a scallop border.. COOL idea hay?!!!

Simple Wedding Invites

Simple Wedding Invite

This is a lovely simple Invite for a wedding.... and Quite easy to make... you just need
Silver Card stock, Black Card stock, Velum, Silver embossing powder, VersaMark, Silver brads and some ribbon...of course you need to chose a stamp that will fit in with your theme too... Like Katie did with the Stars...

Once you have your wording organised you can print onto your vellum (make sure it is in standard not best as BEST will put too much ink on and it will smudge while printing...)... then you can cut them up and stamp them with the VersaMark and emboss... and add the other layers and the brad and ribbon on the top corner....

Black and White Wedding

Black n White Wedding Table Setting
One of my friends got married recently and his Dear Mother (who is TOTALLY Awesome.. Jill) made all these lovely Bonbonaries, name place cards and serviette rings.. She did such a BRILLIANT job, I just had to save them and take a photo to share with everyone....Wish I could lay some clame to saying that I helped her.. but she is a machine and did SOOOOOOOO much of the wedding herself!!!! She is loving the BIG Shot which played a great part in these lovely creations!!!

Bless you my dear dear friend!! xxx

Paper Lantern Tea light Cover

At our September PaperANGELS meeting we made a lovely Paper lantern Tea light cover...Lg Paper Lantern Tea light Cover We used the Top Note Die cut to create the windows.... and the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder on some thick card stock velum to created the detail in the windows.. It was a really great idea... and rather inexpensive to create for a themed party or something... Liz gave us the basics and then we were challenged to do something more with it...

While I was at Liz's helping prepare for the meeting I wanted to make a smaller one so this is what I came up with...
Small Red Paper Lantern Tea light CoverIt's a sweet little red white and black one.. with a bit of Crumb cake too... hehehe
I stamped with opaque versa mark on the windows and made the window shapes with the curly label punch.. Punching out just over one and a half of the label punches. It is a beautiful idea and could really light up your table decorations for a special occasion...

Now of course you would not put an open flame in them..Being that they are made from card stock and all.... You would use a battery operated tea light... I believe you can pick them up at most Big W stores....

Happy creating!!!

Wedding Boquet of Feathers

Chloe was my bride with a difference... she really wanted a bouquet with out using flowers... She loves feathers, the whimsical & graceful way they move.... She really wanted a bouquet that would not die. And it was a must to incorporate some butterflies as part of the theme...

Stunning Wedding Boquet Feathers Lace and RibbonThis was a challenge for me at first as I had no idea how I would construct such a magnificent vision that was in her head... However as most artist.. I tackled it with the "I CAN DO IT" attitude... With no particular finished picture in my mind I went to and started to create a MASTER Piece.... one small piece at a time...

This divine BOUTIQUE bouquet is definitely a one of a kind... And is such an amazing dream and idea that I am very grateful Chloe came to me to make it a reality!!!!

Buttonhole - Feathers Lace and Ribbon Wedding
Corey (the Groom) needed a matching button hole... complete with butterfly and feathers...

And their BEAUTIFUL little baby had to have a matching wedding party head band too....

I LOVE Wedding flowers!!! .... This one was fairly simple in the fact that the flowers were required for a photo shoot (done by my friends from Pure Focus) and all the client wanted was a Bouquet of flowers and a button hole..

This picture looks like they were peach in colour but they were actually Pink... And looked stunning with the light green!!

ELCTRIC BLUE Wedding

I LOVE LOVE LOVE This new Card I designed with a bride last week.... She is having Electric Blue as part of the colour theme and Butterflies galore... So I purchased the new 'All a Flutter' (pg 35, 2010 Autumn-Winter Mini) butterfly stamp in the Mini.. in the hope that it would be suitable to her needs...

After playing around with a few ideas for a couple of hours we are settled on these designs...
We've gone with the Gate Fold card... and a belly band... With the Butterfly embossed in silver... How classy does this look??? I am LOVING IT!!! And so is my Bride... Which is BRILLIANT!!!

ELCTRIC BLUE Wedding Invite
Then for the Bobonaries we have gone with this look....

ELCTRIC BLUE Wedding Bonbon TreatThere will be Thank you's and place cards to make and design still.... I believe we should have it all wrapped up quite well; soon... .. and very in tune with the theme!!!

Melbourne Cup is Fascinating!!!

Although I did not make this for a Melbourne Cup Event... It could very easily be worn for a Melbourne cup event!!! (It was a special order for a fancy Dress Party)
Fancy Dress "Mame" FascinatorIf anyone would like one of their own Creation please do not hesitate to call me... November is not too far away.. And I guarantee that you will not be able to find one of such a High Quality workmanship for such a low price... RRT for this one I estimate at least $250ish.. (NOT what I sold it for) but I would be happy to make a creation for cost of materials plus time involved... This would be much less than you would be charged by a Milliner...

I had an absolute BALL making this.. It was my first ever... With a little idea of customers desired style and the definite colour in mind I went ahead and let my imagination run WILD!! The 5 diamante flower clusters on the half circle with the beaded fanned feathers is the FOCAL point on this piece and was designed and handmade from scratch by me... I even stripped the feathers to thread the beads on..

I think I have found a new Craft I like!!! I was so thrilled with how it turned out that I took it to show the ladies at our weekly Craft Group and they were very impressed... They are thinking of booking me for a 'Fascinating Ball' they have scheduled for next year.... They TOTALLY LOVED it too!!!

I have been told by my customer today that it was a HIT!!! Jane was the bell of the ball and received many many comments and compliments... Check out her costume on her blog... Jane

I would love to make something fascinating for your special occasion, Melbourne Cup or wedding... Please PLEASE give me more challenges!!! I LOVE to GROW!!!!

Cake Slice Bonbonniere

This was dreamed up because of Leonie... She came over one day and saw the boxes that Aaron had been busily designing... She really liked the Slice box... And later asked if she could have the pattern because she wanted to enter it into one of our PaperANGELS monthly Challenges... This was our embellishment Challenge in July... She won... I told it cause it was of our wonderful cake box!!! heheh..

So anyway I LOVED it and had to make one for myself.. With this one I have made the flower with the scallop circle punch and our beautiful Raspberry Tart DSP.. I cut out 9 in DSP and one in Rose Red Card Stock. I then pleated each DSP scallop (not the card one) between each hump and then glued them on to the scallop in the center with our Tombow Multi Purpose Adhesive...6 form the bottom layer and 3 sit in the top layer... Then I took my 2-Way Glue Pen and added some glue to the edges of each scallop and sprinkled light Pink Serpernova Glitter on it and shook off the excess....

I LOVE Sparkly bling bling!!! How beautiful is this embellishment... Very special indeed...
Cake Slice Bon Bon Top ViewTo add a little more to the outside of the rather white stark box I wrapped it with some Rose Red 1" Double-Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon.. I hid the join at the back of the box with a piece that was overturned to look a little like a buckle... Looking at it now close up perhaps I should have had the stitching run the same way... but oh well that is just minor.. I love it.. How divine would this look on the table for a wedding or 21st or something very elegant and sophisticated...
Gorgeous Cake Slice BonbonniereWARNING... It is time consuming making the embellishment and hand cutting the box.. so do not go for hundreds.. else you will be having nightmares of the box chasing you and eating you up!!! ARGHHH... hehe

Have fun... Love Ursula

Wedding invites -Suzies

One of my girlfriends is getting married... And she came to me to see if I could help her...
This is what we came up with and we invented some new ways of doing things that I believe made for some BEAUTIFUL cards!!!

Suzie's colour theme is Silver Black and Burgundy... Wedding invites -Silver Black And BurgundyThis makes for a stunning very elegant combination!!! Sue wanted half in Silver Card stock and half in Black Card stock...Silver Black And Burgundy - Wedding invites I cut the A4 card in half long ways... And made the' gate fold'. And punched out with the horizontal slot punch to thread the ribbon through so it would hold the card together...
Silver Black And Burgundy - Wedding invites insideI stamped the large flourish from Baroque Motifs stamp set (pg 94, 2009-10 Aus NZ Ideas Book) in silver on the black card and in black on the silver card and we powder embossed - to enhance them...

To make the envelopes match I arranged them on the table and stamped them 4 envelopes together with the Baroque Motifs flourish in the corner... This makes them match but individual at the same time..

All the Wedding invites together -Silver Black And BurgundyThank you cards - these have also been embossed on the corners to match the Baroque Motifs theme.. As tehy were smaller I used the small flourish from the Priceless set (pg 92, 2009-10 Aus NZ Ideas Book) We made them note card size... they are petite and elegant!

Wedding Bonbonneries - Treasure Chest Type

I made these for a client just recently.. I tried to get some padlocks to make them look more like a treasure chest.. only there was none to be found!!! I substituted the padlocks for interlocking hearts.. I thought that was nice... Nice symbol for marriage too!!! Two hearts becoming one... (* sighs and looks glossy eyed... thinking of the whole romance of that statement!)

She was getting married on the Beach and was having a 'Treasure Chest' instead of a 'Wishing Well'.. So love that idea!!! Thought that the gold coin chocolate would be a good thing to go in them too.. as it is kind of treasure chesty!!!

Treasure Chest Wedding Bonbonneries
Mass producing these boxes is definitely a labour of LOVE!!! Takes for eva!!! So glad my lovely Hubbie was willing and able to help me out.. else she may never have received them on time!!!

I put a little Vellum tag on each one with their names and Date of the wedding..(After I was reminded that I forgot.. I seem to be having a lot of BLOND Moments lately!!!... SOOOOOOOOOOO unprofessional!!My heart is there... But the head is lacking some what..)

Treasure Chest Wedding Bonbonnerie - Single
All is well in the end... They turned out beautiful.. I was very happy with them..
And so was the Bride (when I fixed the overlooked bits!!! )
