Cards Made at Paper Angels Training Meetings
At all of our Paper Angel meetings we make FABULOUS cards.. Here are some that I took photos of in the last year with my Phone.... The clarity is not as good as I would like them to be but they are clear enough to see that we always make BEAUTIFUL cards.. another benefit of being a PAPER ANGEL....
For all the years we have been making cards at our Paper Angels training meetings we have always had difficulty having our time with the only 2 samples between sometimes 20 of us..........

Paper Angel Training Box Challenge
Chalkboard Technique
I am in love with the Chalkboard Technique it is such a cool technique and I love that if it is a little messy it does not matter... ... This was one of the classes I did last year...
It is quite simple.. all you have to do is take your white craft ink and dauber it lightly or stamp it and smudge it a little... Or you can stamp with your craft in k full strength and wait for it to dry then add a little colour it with water colour pencils. I love being artistic and doing something a little different...
It's fun to play!!!

Stamp and Stack
This is such a simple design lay out that anyone can do it!!! And feel very successful after creating a few cards... Simply cut out your DSP to 14.3cm x10cm. Find some coordinating ribbon to stick on and then make your embellishments... These ones are VERY simple.. a couple of stamped images and a couple of punched out butterfly's... on 6cm x 6cm Whisper White card stock daubered around the edges with the coordinating ink.... And matted on 6.5cm x 6.5cm card stock...
Have a go at creating your very own design following this simple recipe...
Box of Cards
This was such a lovely class... I loved the DSP that we used for our Paper Angel Christmas card event last year sooooooooo much that I had to purchase a bunch more... And I am so glad that I did.. this colour combo of Pacific Point, Bermuda Bay and Coastal Cabana or Pool Party... has to be one of my ALL TIME favorites!!!
The box folds up and looks a little like a book.. in the pouch you can fit up to 6 cards (or maybe 8 as long as embellishments are not too thick) and in the belly band you can fit the envelopes for your cards.. It would make a FANTASTIC pressie for a friend, neighbour, teacher or family... someone who has it all... always needs some BEAUTIFUL handmade cards...
We made the box out of the packing card that is in the DSP packs... (It's great to re-purpose your packaging!!!) The whole box can be made out of one 12"x12" piece.. so hang onto your packing card.
(Ps if you would like the measurements I am happy to send you a PDF of them... )
Card Stock Storage
My storage is ALWAYS changing.. depending on what I think may work better... With the revamp of our Stampin' Up! colours last year I decided to organise my Card stock draws a little differently... As I have classes and sometimes have my customers pick their own colours it made sense to me to put them in some kind of same colour - lightest to darkest order....
Then I reorganised my stamp sets too.. I liked the idea of this DVD storage... However I soon found that my collection grew out of it... So I had to make custom-made shelf.. and to my surprise I am almost out of space with that one too!!! Lucky some of my stamp sets will be retiring soon... I will have to get rid of some of them and make way for the new ones!!!

Mixed Media Framed Art
Did you know that you can use your stamps to stamp into Fimo or Sculpty clay?... (it's a clay that you can mold and shape, then bake in the oven for 15mins to set hard...) It's fantastic to play with and see what you can do... With these box frames we made the art backing by ripping DSP in strips and sticking it on a piece of card stock. We stuck all the bits down with Crystal Effects... and coated anything we wanted to be lacquered with Crystal Effects as well... Then we stamped a greeting ("Go in the direction of your dreams") and put that in the center of the artwork...We used gold ink on the stamp to highlight the words.. (It stays there when you bake it.) We also used the ships log stamp from "The Open Sea" Stamp set to make the corners. We daubered the ships log corners with Shimmer paint to give it the antique look... We each made a face and decorated it with reinker died ribbon and we used several bits of metal pieces to decorate further.. I think the result is kind of a Steam Punk Aztec looking wall art masterpiece... This was a great class and shows that your stamps can be used for so many more things than Just Stamping!!!
My Digital Studio - Personalised Wall Art
This piece of wall art I made for my lovely friend.. Her Hubbie was researching in the scriptures about LOVE and he recorded his discoveries and thoughts it on a piece of paper... It was set out something similar to this... Only in his own handwriting and in Pencil...
It was a lovely thing for us to find when we were going through some of his paperwork....
A beautiful message left to his family from beyond...
LOVE is what will get us all through this life!!!
Card Candy Swaps - Paper Angels Meeting
We had wonderful Card Candy Swaps for one of our Paper Angel meetings last year... It was so fantastic to see what people had come up with.. SO many different ideas!!! I was REALLY lucky that I was able to attend three of the meetings... Two at Liz and one at Angel Ave... And I received 60 different types of card candy... It was so cool!!! And of course I took photos of ALL of them!!! As you can see by all the photos on this post!! And about a month later I was able to take all the card candy and make them up into actual cards... With all the Candy already made I was able to churn out about 30 cards in an hour... Talk about VERY productive!!!! SO if you are stuck for things to do or want to give someone a cool present that they can finish themselves.. Card Candy is the way to go!!!
These were the samples we were shown to give us a little inspiration as to what we could do for the swaps... and also these are a great gift for people.. or for hostesses.. they are not expensive but can come in handy for any scrapbooker, cardmaker or gift wrapper you may know...
This one with the silhouette is a My Digital Studio Hybrid project... some is printed adn some is stamped... Another cool way to make some Card Candy..
The Thank you Candy is also Hybrid Candy... on MDS....
